De oudere patiënt heeft vaak meerdere klachten en aandoeningen (multimorbiditeit) tegelijkertijd, waarvoor hij of zij bij verschillende medisch specialisten komt. Om deze zorg zo goed mogelijk te coördineren is het HMC Behandeladviescentrum Ouderengeneeskunde opgericht. In dit centrum werken verschillende medisch specialisten samen om de behandeling van oudere patiënten zo goed mogelijk af te stemmen.”
