“Sinds 2008 werk ik in HMC.
Ik behandel vooral patiënten die een herseninfarct of hersenbloeding hebben gehad. Dat noemen we ook wel een CVA.
Bij een CVA is het heel belangrijk dat iemand snel medische hulp krijgt. Ook is de juiste behandeling daarna heel belangrijk.

Een gevolg van een CVA kan zijn dat de patiënt problemen krijgt met bewegen. Het kan bijvoorbeeld niet meer lukken om een arm of been te bewegen.

De revalidatie begint al in het ziekenhuis. Als ziekenhuisfysiotherapeut begeleid ik patiënten in deze eerste fase van hun herstel.”
