Hoeveelheid benodigd materiaal BAL/ sputum: 2 mL
Bewaar-/transportcondities Om een optimale leefbaarheid van de micro-organismen te behouden, is het aanbevolen om het materiaal zo snel mogelijk naar het laboratorium te transporteren. Tot aan het transport wordt het materiaal op kamertemperatuur bewaard gedurende maximaal 48 uur.
Frequentie onderzoek PCR: werkdagen
Duur onderzoek PCR: 1 - 4 dagen
Referentie/interpretatie van het onderzoek Een positieve PCR is bewijzend voor infectie.
